What’s Up with the Wangs?
At Articulate City, we like bringing people together in imaginative new ways. We are, after all, a culture club (minus Boy George, though he would be more than welcome to join us). As a demonstration of just how much we value collaboration, in 2011 we’ve decided to invite local artists to share their talent with you, our Articulate City members and soon-to-be-members.
Much like Kohl’s department store works with fashion designer Vera Wang to create a featured collection, Articulate City will be working with talented local artists as they present unique, exclusive art collectibles – (our ”Wangs“, if you will). Free with your Articulate City membership, or available for independent purchase, these collections make great gifts or keepsakes, and serve as a way to show your support for local artists and for Articulate City.
We’ll roll out a new Wang artist and collection each quarter, and members will receive an art-gift-with-purchase corresponding to the quarter in which you sign up. You’ll have an option to buy these offerings a la carte, as well, so never fear – you can start amassing your art fortune straightaway. We’ll generally roll out quarterly collections at Snooze: The Nightcap (check our event listings for info) so make sure you don’t miss an opportunity to grab your Wang at our off-the-hook Gallery Walk After-Party!
